Bij het enthousiasme waarmee de Ecuadoriaanse buschauffeurs hun bestellingen aan de man brengen, verbleken onze marktkramers totaal. Wijllie naar Chugchillan op 5 u bussen van Quito, 1u asfalt en 4u hotsend en botsend op een onverharde weg doorheen de Andes. We arrived 'shaken not stired'. Klagen over de beenruimte bij een Ryanair-vlucht! Probeer als mens van 1m90 eens de Ecuadoriaanse bussen. Gelukkig is 'The Black Sheep Inn' de geseling waard. Duplexje met haardvuur en een schitterend uitzicht op de canyon. 's Nachts een formitastische sterrenhemel, bij zonsopgang het deurtje open en het zonnetje valt recht op ons bedje: zaaalig. Vandaag prachtige wandeling gemaakt in het Andesgebergte.
Travelling with an Ecuadorian bus is already a bit of an adventure. Humping & bumping on an unpaved Andean "road", sitting on a seat made for Ecuadorians guarantees you to arrive shaken, not stirred. Our destination The Black Sheep Inn was worth all the pain. Room with an open fire and a magnificent view on the canyon.
As we are still close to the Equator we can see both the stars of the southern and northern hemisphere, romanticaly overwhelming.When we open our door at sunrise we can both enjoy the view and the sun on our bed.
